In-base or Out-base.......

In-Base Housing

Eligibility 

- Accompanied w/ kids

- Accompanied w/ pregnant spouse

- Accompanied w/o kids (to seek deviation request to SRO)

- Minimally on more than 1-year posting. 

Modality

- Submission of base housing application forms

- Houses by allocation only

- No allowance will be given. SAF will pay for the houses directly

- 5 to 10 mins drive to work

Utilities

- Water, Gas, Electricity, Sewage, Waste disposal are all free

- Mowing services only for common areas, tenants are responsible for own yard

Requirement

1) Housing Office Brief (by phone)

2) Renters Insurance of $100k liability, ~$18 per month

All personnel applying for in-base housing are to fill the 4 forms up and submit to the PC V Housing Task Force

Out-Base Housing

Eligibility 

All PC V Personnel

Modality

- Unaccompanied servicemen are not allowed to stay alone unless waiver sought

- Not allowed to stay in Boise or Twin Falls

- 20 to 30 mins drive to work

- Self source for housing or with the help of PC V Housing Task Force via the following platforms

Rent Allowance

​- Check with PC V Housing Task Force 

- Disbursed monthly along with COLA to SG bank account (additional 2% given for wire fee)

- Rental of outbase houses ranges from $1100 to $2000 depending on the size and quality of houses. Any surplus can be kept by servicemen, any deficit will require servicemen to top up. 

Utilities

- Dependent on Landlord/ Owner of property

Requirement

- Mandatory auto pay process must be set up with landlord

- Submission of Lease to PC V Admin Shop must include

  • No. of bedrooms

  • Duration and date of rent

  • Monthly rental amount

  • Military termination clause

  • Professional cleaning requirement

- All servicemen must have a valid housing ​lease to receive rental allowance
