Pre-posting Admin

Congratulations on your posting to the best fighter detachment in the world. To ensure a smooth transition, do ensure that all the following administrative matters are in order.

Advance Allowance

Check with HRMC on the following items on the amount of your advance allowance which would include:

- COLA,

- Settling in allowance

- Warm clothing allowance,

- Furnishing allowance 

- And/Or subsistence allowance, for non-posting personnel i.e TDY or B-course trainees.

FFI & HSP

Print a copy of your HSP results from eHealth, if applicable and bring your FFI documents as well.

Security CAT Status

For Officers, ME4s and above, CNEW and FC- Check that your CAT 1/1A status is valid for your posting duration, else please highlight it to the admin office immediately to lead-turn your security status extension.

Housing

PC V Housing Task Force will contact you 2 months prior to your posting to assist you with housing in Mountain Home.

Shipment

Boxes Shipment collections are usually 1-2 weeks prior to your departure date. However, you may want to consider sending your items to USA earlier so you don't have to wait long for their arrival.

Average timeline for shipment to is 2-3 months from shipment date. The shipping company will contact PC V Admin Office and they will help to arrange the delivery date with servicemen. 

For your shipping entitlement, please check with ACC HRMC.​​

Spouse Transit Allowance Application

*Previously known as SMUA.

If you are married, ensure you submit your STA application at least 1 month prior to your posting. To be eligible, your spouse will need to be working 6 months prior to the posting date with a valid pay slip.

Payslips

Print your latest 6 payslips from eHR and bring them along with you.

BMI & IPPT

All to clear your IPPT in Singapore for the current work year before coming over, if unable please let PC V Admin Shop know. 

 

(Aircrew only)  Verify that your latest weight has been updated in PACES for BMI calculation.

 

Defence Mail / M365

Ensure that you have defence mail and M365 set up on either your phone or laptop. If you don't have one, please contact your respective unit POC and have it up.

 

Join the PC V’s Admin / Finance Teams Channel using the code, u929glg.

Temp PES / IRB / MRB

If you are on a temporary PES or have an IRB or MRB certification, please bring your relevant documents along.

SingPass / OneNS

Verify that you have valid SingPass login credentials and you are able to sign in to the OneNS application or web portal.

Timeline

  1. ​Expect to be notified of your posting by ACC HRMC 2-3 months prior.​

  2. PC V Induction Team will organise a pre-posting brief for all personnel posting 2 months prior to your posting month. DO INFORM ACC HRMC or S1 PC V if you are bringing a pet.​

  3. You will be required to submit your passport for VISA application 1 -1.5 months prior to your posting date. 

  4. ​ACC HRMC / MINDEF Travel Desk will offer you 3 choices for your flight to Boise, Idaho USA. The cheapest flight will be the primary option, if you choose the option that is not the cheapest, you will be required to top up the difference. 

  5. Boxes collection will be arranged with ACC HRMC and usually 1-2 weeks prior to your departure date. ​​

It will be very beneficial to find 1-2 person (primarily your pre-decessor) to help you on your pre-posting admin. If not, please approach the respective ops and logs induction team. They are very friendly! :)

Please ensure you bring along your Marriage Certificates if you are married. 

 

For servicemen or spouses who do not have a driving license in Singapore. It is strongly recommended to get yours before being posted to PC V. You can still get your driving license here but it will be a truncated program that may not be as safe.
